TITLE I Home

Title I, Part A, Section 1116 of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) provides financial assistance to state and local educational agencies to meet the needs of at-risk children. The purpose of Title I is to assist schools in improving student achievement, staff development, and parental involvement by providing all children with the opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education, and to close educational achievement gaps. (Sec. 1001) The goal of Title I is to provide instructional services and activities which support students in meeting the state’s challenging performance standards. 

Our school participates in a Title I Schoolwide Program, which means all students benefit from Title I funds. Through Title I funding, our school is able to provide:

• Additional highly-qualified staff
• Additional instructional materials, supplies, and technology for our students
• Supplemental staff development opportunities
• Support to our families through a parent and family engagement program

Title I also allows for our parents to be informed and involved in educational decisions that impact their students.
